Economic Prosperity
Kansas will be the best state in the nation for talented, hard working people to pursue the American Dream. Free market principles will increase human flourishing throughout our state. Kansas will have a highly educated work force and low taxes. State regulations will do no harm. High-tech, updated infrastructure will provide a foundation upon which businesses can succeed. State government will be transparent and efficient. Constitutional freedoms will be preserved. Private property rights will be respected. Home ownership will be attainable. Law and order will reign supreme so law-abiding citizens can live in peace. Our urban, suburban, and rural areas will thrive through BOTH the renewal of small businesses and expansion of large corporations. Families will thrive in Kansas.
Successful Schools
I believe every child deserves an education that prepares them to pursue the American Dream. Kansas has great teachers. I will support policies that enable teachers to experience joy in the classroom while earning more money. I believe parents should be in control of their child's education. Creating a free market in education will enable teachers to use their creativity as they guide their students towards growth and achievement. Students will thrive and reach their fullest potential in a safe and secure environment in which they are prepared to experience success now and in the future. Kansas will have a highly educated work force. I believe public schools should be fully funded, including special education. I will work across the aisle to ensure our students and teachers experience success in the classroom.
About TJ Rose
I am married and have six kids, including one in heaven. I graduated from Shawnee Mission Northwest High School where I was fortunate to be on teams that won Kansas 6A state championships in cross country and baseball. I earned a degree in Secondary Education Mathematics from K-State. I have taught school, underwritten mortgages, pastored churches and now I am a health insurance agent. In other words, I am an innovative businessman who makes wise decisions, understands human nature and knows how to communicate. Diverse experiences will enable me to serve my constituents well in the State Senate. I have enjoyed living in Johnson County for over 40 years and love the entire state of Kansas. I am a Republican. It would be a wonderful honor to serve in the State Senate.
